About

Eric Haufschild is a Chicago native, upcoming freelance lighting designer, assistant, and programmer. He has recently moved to New York City after studying and working in Las Vegas.

Eric has experience designing for theatre, opera, and dance in venues varying from 500-seat theaters to intimate warehouse seating for 40.  He has designed for professional companies including Sin City Opera, Cockroach Theatre Company, and the Nevada Conservatory Theatre. Eric has returned from the Williamstown Theatre Festival where he completed his second successful year with the company. He began there as a Lighting Design Intern in his first year, returning as Journeyman Electrician in year two.

Eric believes that through storytelling, humans can connect, becoming something stronger together than any one individual can be alone. When Eric is not working around New York, you can usually find him in the nearest art museum or planning his next trip out west - and beyond.
